Red dot mounts let you run a red dot on CZ pistols that aren’t Optics Ready—no slide milling. The mount replaces the rear sight in the dovetail, is reversible, and keeps your slide intact.

When to use a red dot mount

Your CZ isn’t “Optics Ready”: mount a dot without modifying the slide.

Easy revert: swap back to irons in minutes for carry, range rules, or resale.

Pros & cons

  • Pros: no milling, fully reversible, model-specific fit.
  • Cons: sits higher than plates/milled cuts; holster fit and co-witness may change.

Setup essentials

  • Degrease interfaces and screws; apply Loctite threadlocker.
  • Torque to spec for mount-to-slide and optic-to-mount screws; re-check after your first range session.
  • Verify screw length & pitch so nothing protrudes into the slide channel.
